BOARD MEETING MINUTES - 02/02/08

Board Members & Officers Present: Charlotte Orr, Leida Jones, David Clayton, Melanie Magamoll, Janice Brough, Brenda Griffin

President Leida Jones called the meeting to order at 3:20 p.m.. A quorum was established.

Leida read the minutes of the 11/10/07 board meeting. Janice Brough mad a motion to accept the minutes as read, Brenda Griffin seconded. None opposed, minutes accepted.

President = s Report: Leida thanked David and Laura for doing the show and having dinner for everyone. Leida commented that Joy = s show in November was a great show and Bennie did a wonderful job cooking, as usual.

Secretary = s Report: None.

Affiliate Representative Report: None.

Treasurer = s Report: Brenda Griffin gave the report, re-cap attached. Balance as of the end of January, 2008, operating checking account is $5,453.21. We had two shows in November, none in December. David Clayton made a motion to accept the Treasurer = s Report as presented, Janice Brough seconded the motion. None opposed, minutes accepted.

Show Coordinator Report: Presented by Janice Brough. FASA = s next show is agility at Kelli Haye = s home next weekend. Followed by conformation and obedience at Nancy Watson = s home the very next weekend. Then we go to Lakeland in May, an obedience only show in Ocala this fall and Joy = s show in December. Joy = s show is being moved, this year only, from November to December because if the ASCA National = s mid-November this year. David and Laura are giving up their February date Leida will be taking it over with herding at her place, maybe sheep and ducks.

There has been some confusion of entry fees, to clear the confusion fees will be $15. for regular classes pre-entry and $18. regular classes day of show entry. Other fees can be presented to the board if needed to cover expenses for a certain show.

Old Business: Melanie Magamoll will check on having the old website removed from the internet. Having two, one active and one old is very confusing to people.

New Business: Brenda Griffin received a letter from ASGHI thanking us for our donation last year. Janice Brough made a motion that FASA send another donation of $150.00, Charlotte Orr seconded. None opposed, minutes accepted.

Janice Brough also made a motion that FASA send ARPH a $150.00, donation. Seconded by Melanie Magamoll. None opposed, minutes accepted. Brenda Griffin will take care of this.

Donations for ASCA Nationals will be discussed at the next meeting when the class sponsor costs have been established.

Show fees were discussed and set at $15.00 pre-entry and $18.00 day of show for regular classes. Juniors and non-regular classes will remain as is.

Joy Ellis had requested the Board allow her to purchase the old obedience jumps. Janice Brough made a motion to give the old obedience jumps to Joy Ellis for storing the FASA trailer on her property year after year. Seconded by David Clayton. None opposed, minutes accepted.

Charlotte Orr made a motion to adjourn, David Clayton seconded. Meeting adjourned at 3:47 p.m.
